was an exciting few minutes!

It's about time we had a bit of transfer news isn't it. Gus is back in the UK and the season is rushing towards us. We know he is looking and it would be good if somethings fell into place. In the meantime, idle speculation will fill the vacuum.

I thought it was pretty obvious that by available I meant that Leeds will listen to offers this summer to avoid losing him for free next summer...

He was their prize asset though, anyhow he'll probably end up signing a new improved contract shortly. I expect the source of this article was just Agents play!

Can't see Becchio leaving Leeds, and if he did then i'm sure another Championship club would pick him up as we wouldn't be able to offer him the right wages.

All about opinions I suppose.

Mine is I think he could score 25 goals as he's shown a good scoring pedegree in league one for 2 years.

If he can't score 25 playing for Leeds why would he be able to do it here? Leeds were an automatic promotion candidate both years he's been there and were creating chances left, right and centre. We aren't...

My thoughts exactly. Murray actually has a better record, with 32 goals in 76 games in L1 - Becchio's record is 30 in 81. Not saying he wouldn't be a good signing, but he's not proven to be prolific at this level despite playing in a team that's been challenging right at the top in both seasons.

In my view if he goes to the club and is the main striker then I think he could score 25. Next to Beckford who blatently would have got more service and was running the show at Leeds.

When I saw him play, his movement and positional play was fantatsic.

If your opinion is were not creating many chances then we could be in for a poor season and all the hype is about nothing, my opinion is Gus would have worked on creating more chances, getting the ball in the box and a predator like Bechio will score lots of goals.

He's got a scoring record of just over 1 in 2 games and was used as a sub quite a bit.

So yes, I do think he would be our 25 goal a season player.
