We've got Solly, Murphy, Skalak and a soon-to be-returning Rosenior who can all play down that side, plus Pocognoli who from what I've seen could also put a shift in there, if needed. In the event of an outbreak of broken legs or bubonic plague amongst all our left-sided players, I'm confident Knocky could quite comfortably switch sides for a bit.

Kaz's legs are made of Weetabix, and he's not pulled up any trees since coming back from his last injury. I really REALLY don't think we need him as cover any more this season.
I take it you mean freshly prepared Weetabix, and not the half eaten remnants that have been left on the kitchen worktop all day.

Even if we had the worst injury crisis ever, the DS squad has players that could potentially step up.

Bjordal has travelled with the 1st team squad on occasions this year, Hornby-Forbes (despite not looking like he's anywhere near the first team) has played as a winger in the football league for Fleetwood and Joe Ward has played around 50 games at non-league level and attracted interest from League 1 clubs.

Obviously nowhere near the quality of LuaLua but as you say, we do have depth.

Ollie swoops for Brighton winger ...
QPR sign Kazenga LuaLua on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion
Winger joins until the end of the season
QPR have completed the loan signing of Brighton & Hove Albion attacker Kazenga LuaLua.

The 26 year-old Congolese winger has put pen to paper on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Speaking to www.qpr.co.uk, Ian Holloway welcomed the arrival of his first signing since returning to QPR as manager, commenting: “To get someone of Kazenga's ability in is just what we need at this time.

“I think he gives us something we're missing. He's got pace; he can beat his man; and he has experience of playing at this level.

“This is a good loan deal for us and a fantastic opportunity for me to work with someone I really rate highly.

“I think our fans will love him. He's hungry; he wants to get better; and he wants to work hard.

“I think he can score goals as well as provide them, and that won't half help our strikers.”

LuaLua, who has seen his game-time restricted to just six appearances this season owing to minor knee surgery which sidelined him for six weeks, is relishing the opportunity of pulling on the R’s jersey.

“I'm very excited to be here,” he told www.qpr.co.uk.

“I'm looking forward to getting out on the pitch and helping QPR push on in the second half of the season.

“I'm here to help the team and enjoy my football.

“The manager has made it clear what he wants from me. He's a good manager and once he showed his interest in me, the first thing on my mind was to get the deal done.

“I just want to come in, prove my worth and hopefully please the fans with my performances.

“The responsibility of coming in and helping QPR out is something I'm really excited about.”

Be interesting to see how Bjordal progresses.

Don't pin your hopes too high BG.

I had my first look at Bjordal in the flesh tonight, and I wouldn't want to make a final judgement on just 90 minutes of football, but on the evidence of tonight he is still millions of miles away from being ready for any first team action yet.

Hopefully it was just a blip, (the whole outfield team were poor in fairness), and maybe he will come good in time.

I just hope one of our 3 other brilliant wingers don't get injured. I'm not talking about Skalak there, obvs. Let's hope Kaz makes a flying start against Reading.

It's the right move. He needs regular game time and will take a while for him to get up to speed. Yes, he could have made the bench later in the season if we pick up injuries/suspensions however with the amount of time he's been out he probably wouldn't have made an immediate impact.
