Lua Lua not Looking Too Good With Doncaser Sniffing Around?

Pork pie land.
Just found this on NUFC Blog site:

"Hughton is also likely to loan out Ryan Donaldson, Kazenga Lualua and Fraser Forster, with Norwich seemingly very keen to seal a deal for another full season out on loan for 22 year-old 6’7″ goalkeeper Forster.

We had thought that Kazenga LuaLua may be transferred this summer, but he may be too young to sell at still only 19, and Chris may want to send him out on a full season loan to give him some first team opportunities.

Certainly Brighton, where he played 11 times earlier this year, would be very willing to take the lad again, but it may also be possible to line him up with a CC Championship club.

Doncaster Rovers were interested in taking the player last season, and with Newcastle now back in the Premiership, this remains an attractive possibility for the Nigerian-born winger.

Lualua has made it plain that he wants first-team football – and it would appear either Brighton or Doncaster Rovers, where he played 4 games in the in the 2008/2009 season, are his most likely destinations. The 19 year-old has 9 appearances for Newcastle United so far."

I think Poyet will give up soon, it isn't hard, surely ?

I'm pretty ambivalent to the situation. If he comes back, then great. If not, Gus won't be too fazed.

If I was Lua Lua then I would probably be looking to catch the eye in the Championship at this stage of my career.

I'm not expecting him back, it wouldn't be a disaster but hope we have someone better then Morais lined up.

I am pretty sure I have just seen Lua Lua in a Brighton training strip by the Sainsbury at City Point.

I use to see him regularly down there when he was with us last season.

The reason i'm not 100% sure is because I only saw him from behind!

Do we have any other players of the same race? I couldn't think of any unless he was a youth teamer.

I'd question him for the first time if he does

he'll HAPPILY waste a summer on a nobby no name defender from a struggling league one club who has looked PONY in pre-season thus far yet would give up easily on a player who looked amazing last season?

I am honestly not bothered either way. yeah, he looked bright last season, from what we saw, but there was little end product and an inability to score. We'll just be used to iron out these deficiencies over a season and then he'll go back and NUFC will sell him based on our hard work. He has potential, but he is a luxury we can do without.

For goodness sake...think about it ? Why would Chris Hughton allow him to skip training for a spot of shopping in Brighton .
Some comments begger belief here !

Agreed, it would be of little benefit to take him on a season long loan. It would be far better to either buy him as a future investment - or find another young winger that we can buy, bring on, and either sell, or who can form part of our squad at a higher level.

He is NOT that special, he is a decent L1 player and if we get him, great. However, if he goes to benchwarm with occasional appearance at Doncaster, I'll not be too bothered.

Braders - you know we can look at more than one target at a time, so I don't see how the summer has been wasted. Particularly as we needed an old head in defence, one that is capable of passing the ball on the ground and of captain material.

I don't think it is a case of giving up, merely checking out other options, should Lua-Lua and/or Newcastle decide he would benefit at a different club.

I'd have our Bennett over Lua Lua any day! Bennett is almost a complete player, whereas Lua Lua only really provides attacking threat with his pace, no good passing or crossing ability, and can't really defend imho

ok right

YES Greer - ok they got to the play offs last season , they won't this season by a long shot , he's looked rubbish from what I've seen thus far and although BOF you are correct we needed an older head at the back , I just feel this wasn't the right one - guess we'll have to wait and see whether this was the right decision when a ball is kicked is anger I guess
