oh well good luck to him, he has always said that he wants to be pulling on the black and white stripes of newcastle united and playing in front of 50,000 people. I think now he's more or less out of our price range anyway, and his wage demand would probably be difficult to make, shame but hey ho there's alot of footballing talent out there......and i'm sure gus will find it and bring it to brighton and hove albion.

Playing him today means chuff all: we gave Gary Hart a run out in the last couple of games this season.

It was his first game back from long injury, so not too much would have been expected. All i saw was MOTD and he skinned the right back and put in a wicked cross, which led to the corner and a goal. Pardew would be happy with that i would say, unfortunately...

Call me optimistic but I'm very positive that LuaLua will be a Brighton player come next season. This is Brighton and Hove Albion, a club where magical stuff always seems to happen and LuaLua is the next trick to join the club. He must know we're already getting tipped for another promotion and he obviously knows he'll be 2nd fiddle to Ben Arfa (at best). Put the 2 together and you've got LuaLua running riot for the Albion infront of a packed 22,000 stadium soon to be 33,000.

Quote from Mr Pardew,

Referring to Kazenga LuaLua and Sammy Ameobi's performances on the pitch, he added;

"I thought they approached the game really, really well and both of them contributed. They haven't had a lot of football, Kazenga in particular - so I was very, very pleased."

what else is he going to say? " Well to be honest I'm only playing them because deep down this game meant nothing"

It's a difficult one to call, it depends on how many Pardew is able to bring in, and the same for us, we can only wait so long for KLL and we may sign someone before then.

What we can say is that we stand a good chance should Pardew not want/need him, but like the Murray situation, we'll just have to wait and see what happens

Being played in the last 2 games of the season, when your club is not at risk of being relegated means NOTHING.

Managers play fringe youth players all the time in these situations.

Middlesborough, under McClaren I believe, played pretty much a whole youth team in one game when they were safe. Hardly any of them played for the club again.

That does not make for good reading.

"You need to be playing and for me to go out on loan to Brighton has helped me to come on as a player. I enjoyed playing for Gus Poyet and that was a great experience for me.

"I'm a young lad and I'm learning every day in training from playing with pros like Joey Barton, Alan Smith and Kevin Nolan. I've got to work hard and hopefully there's more to come. If I do my best in training, I can always be ready if the chance comes".

"I would love to be involved aganist West Brom so I'll train hard in the week and hopefully the gaffer will give me another chance like he did today"

I know nothings settled just yet, but it looks to me like he's regarding us very much in the past-tense now. If he gets another chance and impresses against West Brom then I can easily see him making their 25 for next season with a new deal, and who could blame him for staying. It'll boil down to whether he believes (or is told) he can regularly make the bench and progress from there.

I was hopeful before yesterday, but I'll be very surprised to see him back here in the summer. If he tears up WBA next week, we can forget it.
