A man was taken to hospital with lower leg pain after his car overturned.

The 43-year-old was driving in King George's Avenue, Hove, at 2.25am on Friday, when his car left the road.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.

Should be a thread for completely pointless Argus articles.
Man hurts leg!! The horror!!

They gave us Peter Andre - we gave them Brighton and Hove Albion From The Argus)

They gave us Peter Andre – and we gave them football good enough to give the Socceroos a run for their money.

The Albion’s spectacular ascent has even led to the creation of a Seagull’s fanclub Down Under.

Sussex ex-pat Steve Longly arrived in Sydney three years ago and after hearing about his team’s League One success decided to set a club for other Brighton fans abroad.

He said: “I have managed to get 55 members on board, 47 of which are on our Facebook page. They are from all over Australia and we even have one in New Zealand.”

Mr Longly said he was spurred into action by an article on theargus.co.uk about fans living abroad.

He added: “If anyone knows of supporters in Australia who would like to join up then send an email to seagullsdownunder@hotmail.com.”

I'm not altogether sure how they've shoe-horned Peter Andre into this story. But then I suppose "Man Sets Up Facebook Page for Expat Albion Fans, 47 members" isn't QUITE as newsworthy is it. I'm assuming this story is the front page headline of course.

It looks as if Sussex is the bicycle tragedy capital of Europe, if not the world.

Thanks to the Argus for bringing this to our attention.

No other vehicles are thought to have been involved in the incident.

Any witnesses are asked to call 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Alcroft.

So lets get this straight. A middle-aged woman falls of her bike, theres no other vehicles involved, but its been assigned its own tagname "Operation Alcroft" and they're appealing for witnesses ?

Lets hope Operation Alcroft is brought to a swift and satisfactory conclusion, for all our sakes.

:lolol:

"Hello ? Hello ? I have some information in relation to Operation Alcroft. Repeat, Operation Alcroft. Do you read ? The woman involved lost control of her bike, struck a curb and went over the handlebars. Very nasty. Repeat, very nasty. Over".
