Actually very surprising the amount of women employed in all sorts of jobs in the USA, was in Palma Nova in the 80s and the SS Saratosa (I think) stopped off from Gaddafi watch and the whole aircraft carrier were given shore leave. Loads of women who were cooks and suffice to say all hell let loose for three days as they police themselves. We saw a Texan guy go absolutely beserk in a bar and was arrested and subsequently tried to kick himself to freedom out of the van they put in him and eventually he was injected with some tranquiliser to calm him done - total nutter
