Lots of potential rivalries next season?

Depending on who you speak with there are rivalries amongst all of that lot, most of it seems to come down to where you live and who is the nearest club other than the one you follow. Throw in the possibility of Wolves or Birmingham and the Midlands could be pretty competitive next season.

Actually this whole 'rivalry' thing is quite interesting. There were howls of protest on here every time someone dared to say that Southampton were our rivals (Which was a stupid position to adopt because they WERE), and I think this is due to the concept that some people think there's an unwritten law that says you can only have ONE rival.

Looking forward to games against both our rivals next season (Southampton and Palace) in the same way that Man U fans look forward to games against their two rivals (Man City and Liverpool)

I find Portsmouth much more loathsome than either Palace or Southampton. Just because some highly dubious characters laundered large amounts of dodgy money through big player contracts - allegedly - their fans somehow thought they were suddenly entitled to top flight and European football. Some were in massive (and highly amusing) denial until the arse fell out of the whole sorry operation.
