Took 4 hours 10 minutes out of a ridiculously busy schedule to watch this last night. Marvellous (extended) scenes.

Anybody else see it? What did you think?

(BTW, I think I spotted a certain poster's girlfriend in the film...)

not all that.... as a film great, as a story erm too many questions unanswered - but that would take another 4 hours to answer!

if you read the book like I did as a kid then you may have been disappointed not to see the Hobbition battle at the end after the hobs return, also the scene where Merry finally comes out and takes Pippin roughly in the cellar of the Prancing Pony!
