Lost is rubbish, series one just finished in New Zealand, which series are you watching?

Honestly, don't do it, you will regreat the "lost" 26 hours, 26 weeks from now.

It really is utter pants.

:lolol: Doesn't fill me with confidence, i'm sticking with it, it's been good, but there are glimpses that it could go tits up at any time.

Have to say it was excellent, the impossibly beautiful people, the cool neat double scars in unthreatening places, lovely setting and sci-fi possibilities likely to spring up any time.Perfect.

I missed a bit of the episode just on. It was the bit where Kate turns out to be the prisoner and the Marshall says to her 'maybe they'll believe your story' Did anything happen before that? (it came on just after a break) Did it say what she had done?

Agree with that. Started off really good, eventually got worse and worse, and then just kept going round in circles. Even the final episode was shit.

The final episode was dreadful, what an anti-climax. The only good thing about Lost was that Scrubs was on before it.

I used to hate the fact that they all never got sunburnt and always managed to find loads of make-up.

Thought the bit about the bloke bonking his sister was a bit off, but hey, will appeal to sections of the UK audience - Cumbria, Wales, South London, Crawley etc etc.

The only good thing about Lost was Kate. and the fact that Scrubs was on before it and Dog the bounty hunter after it. Wednesdays used to be good for telly, it's crap now. Only Scrubs is any good.

And do you get as angry as I do when you try to watch a film out here and it lasts 3 1/2 hrs cos there are adverts every five minutes? Makes me furious.

Lost is a very entertaining show. Whether it's plausible isn't really here nor there. It's entertaining and full of hotties, particularly Kate the convict and Sun. The back stories are the most interesting part of the series as nothing too much seems to happen on the island. Agree that the final episode is something of a let down though.

It's nonsense of course but quite watchable and fun. Is the monster Iain Dowie?

Steady on! The Yanks have laws against that sort of thing!

May have not been top acting but I think I'll watch it again!

Mind you I had to wait until 11:20 last night to watch Apprentice USA!

Just like those other shite yank shows:

The Sopranos
West Wing
24
6 Feet under
etc
etc

The Yanks kick our arse at making decent drama.

For the record I really enjoyed it.

Totally agree, all a complete waste of your life.

;)

I'm sure many on this thread who watch this kind of purile and inane American shite were quick to slag off the Big Brother fans on here.

And your point is...? In my opinion, Big Brother is poo, scum of society put into a house for how ever many weeks.

Lost is great, finished watching the series after downloading it online, and yes the final episode is an anti-climax but it leads onto the second series which I was told starts in the states soon.

I can't say I'm a big fan of yanky drama but I really enjoy 24 and Lost and have started to enjoy West Wing. Many will disagree with me but 6 feet under and Sopranos I never really got into. Same with Deadwood, watched first episode and after watching Lovejoy say f*** and !!!! a few times, it lost me.

The West Wing is the best show on tele. Brilliantly written and acted.
I thought Lost was ok, if a little strange. Looked like it was filmed in the same place as Jurassic Park. The usual abundance of beautifull people plus a token fatty. Will give it a couple more weeks before deciding if it's worth watching it all.

If you want cliche-ridden, vacuous, gung ho fare with stereotypical characters (your white hero, your ethnic minorities getting their two minutes of airtime etc. etc.) then American drama is fine, disengage brain and enjoy. Seinfeld was pure genius, but the yanks and drama - I just can't do it.

Each to their own, I can't say I'm a fan of Seinfeld (another debate I'm sure), we all have our own tastes. During the series you'll find that most of the characters get a lot of explanation behind their stories, which makes it more interesting. Give it a couple of episodes.
