Same here, I was there as a youngster with my Dad.

The Newcastle fans were great sports. Some Sunderland fans had sneaked in (the terraces paddock at the front of the modern Leazes Stand) by the Brighton fans, to cause shit, but all hell broke loose as the police got rid.

Yes, from what I remember some Newcastle fans came in the back of our end and started attacking people. All the people around me fell over in a heap, and my mate fell into a meat pie, parts of which were stuck to the back of his jacket for the rest of the day.

That's when a certain poster on here started squirting tomatoe ketchup over people.
