I'm personally looking forward to next season.

You know, maybe win a few games. Look competitive again. Excitement of a promotion push or play-off battle.

It's not all bad.

and hopefully some of the moaning pricks on this board will cheer up a bit.

We are not good enough for the championship at present. accept it.

Theres a few decent away trips, and theres a few grounds that i haven't been too, so in that respect i wouldn't mind playing in that level next season. But would rather be in the championship

I agree and I think the youngsters will be better for it, against lower opposition. The confidence will be up and will be better prepared for our next jaunt into this league. Have said it beforeon here and will keep saying it, we really have a great future to look forward to, perhaps some of the players coming in this year weren't quite ready for it, but they have given it a bloody good go. Especially taking into account some of the abuse they have had to endure at Withdean

League 1 is far more physical which wont suit our youngsters or Carole of Fruitos.

Butters, Oatway, Mayo, Carpenter et al will all be a year older and slower.

Our better younger players will probably be sold.

McShane will not return to play League 1.

We will lose a lot of money and have a half full Withdean every week.

Instead of trips to Portsmouth, Palace, Leeds, Wolves etc we will be playing Port Vale, Bournemouth and Doncaster.

Relegation would be a DISASTER.

If we go down we wont go back up. In fact we will struggle in league one. I'll dig this post up when it happens.

I agree, especially if Frank Spencer is still in charge.

I predict back to back relegations if we go down this season. That is why DK must do something either back, with cash for loan signings , or sack MM.

Going down will be SHIT.

We'll miss out on playing in a division with PALACE, PORTSMOUTH, AND SOUTHAMPTON. :nono:

A few years ago I went to Halifax three times to eventualy watch a 0 - 0 draw. At least I saw Will Packhams debut. :lolol:

A few years in a lower league with some stability would be good for the playing side of the club. If promotion and a new ground happened together then that would be perfect.

Not certain that wer would survive a few years in a lower league paying for Falmer.

There is no way that DK would have budgeted for Falmer on the grounds that we would be in the championship until construction is completed.

I hope.

I can't wait to resume our battles with Chesterfield. People might think we’ll stay up but deep down they’re living in hope. I love Brighton with all my heart and till we get Falmer built then we’ll be up and down. So next season will; be like the others, we’ll win promotion and by god we’re have fun like we always do.

Up the Albion
