And probably half of the throw ins we take are foul throws, but at PL level both refs and linos are lax on calling them.

I would agree that policing the foul throw-in has become as dead as the Latin language.

I think I read somewhere that they only give foul throws if they are seeking to gain an advantage, unless it’s so obvious

Wasn't there some thought on eliminating the throw-in totally? Using a free kick from "touch?"

Probably. Why do they have to keep tinkering with the rules, like ball in the corner segment, pass back from kick off?

Never really understood the reason for the 6 yard box (you only needed a line until the new rules on goal kicks came in).

My mate who watches Brentford told me recently that they have a new first team player that launches the longest throw he's ever seen.
I can't remember the players name, which isn't very helpful.
