I’ve ended up in Manchester this week last min so I’m now desperate for a ticket for the game…

Nothing illegal in asking, afaik. Naturally, no one would be stupid enough to publicly offer you one as that is very definitely illegal. It’s also illegal to offer you one privately too, of course, but NSC admin/mods would know nothing about any such offer.
