What a wonderful, uplifting read.

I must admit, when the club first came out with that #Together at the beginning of last season, the cynical side of me was rolling my eyes at it. But now I see, everything that has happened at BHAFC this last 18 months ties in with that word, that mantra, perfectly. A simple word that sums up this unique football club and squad of players. It makes me feel so proud.

Absolutely top bloke in an industry full of greed and detachment from the real world. Epitomises everything football should be about. Very refreshing but also makes me feel conflicted.

It would be nice to think he will be with us for many years and be part of the progression of the club, but I wouldn't begrudge him the ludicrous wealth being thrown around if he wanted to capitalise on it.

That said, doesn't strike me like someone who would bugger off to China, he has all the right principles and motivations to play the game. IF we go up and IF he is good enough for the PL (I believe he will be) then I can see him being with us for some time.

Please go and purchase today. British journalism is under so much threat. There won't be such pieces if everyone freeloads / it's probably illegal to have cut and pasted on here anyway. And please don't bother saying Murdochnis rich enough. It's the wages of the journos etc that are under threat here. Times already charging, Telegraph have recently followed and Guardian expected to shortly for online content. And then there's the proposed govt legislation that will effectively make it illegal to report truths at local and national level. Freedom of speech has never looked in such jeopardy, we're going backwards. But does anyone care? In this country we seem to be apathetic towards so many things our forefathers fought hundreds of years for. So do please, as an a side. support fine journalism such as this wonderful tribute by purchasing a paper and paying for the content.

Please go and purchase* today.

Intend to at lunchtime, so my lads can read it at home later.

*well, I say 'purchase' - by that, I mean I'll chose it as my FREE paper, with my Waitrose shopping. They'll still get paid for it, so all's good

There is also a very interesting article by Chris in another newspaper today. But,unfortunately, most of you are too bigoted to read it!:lolol:

I know that Hughton used to write a column in the 1970s for the Trotskyist newspaper Newsline, so if he's reverted to earlier form and is writing in Socialist Worker or similar, you're correct that I wouldn't read a rag like that.

What a time to be an Albion supporter. A really great team on and off the pitch. Wonderful article. We deserve this after last seasons end.

Caulkin is perhaps my favourite football writer, and a really worthwhile follow on twitter too.

There are no other clubs that would have done that. None. No other people. It was something incredible. I could stay here forever.”

For me this says it all.

Was reading this as I found out a friend of mine died from cancer this morning, not ashamed to say I shed a couple of tears.

Two things which struck me when reading that article

Firstly when he says ''to complain would be disrespectful'' Players like Joey Barton if they read that it should make them want to close their Twitter Accounts forth with.

And secondly - Any Chairmen at any other club hoping to sign Tony in this or any other transfer window might as well put their cheque books back in a drawer. Not even Man City probably have enough zeros on the end of it to buy his emotions

Very interesting article. What an amazing person and player he is. He might be lucky to have been with the club during the last year but we're also very lucky to have him. What a committed, talented player and such a genuine person.

Yeah the poor poor Times. My heart bleeds for them - NOT !

Yes that article was excellent but for the most part I find my views and beliefs very much at odds with those at the Times an their Editor and journalists

I'm not sure it's illegal, but it's certainly bad form. I've edited out the wholesale copy and paste that was on here.

The Times allows people to read articles where the link has been shared. That's their chosen model, currently, to allow people to get a taster and, hopefully, subscribe.

Please do not copy and paste whole articles on NSC. If something's good - post a taster and a link. Direct people to the source in order that they benefit from page views and ad impressions.

I'm afraid he's gone to the opposite extreme-it's in the Sun

Very good read about the dearth of BAME managers in the game.
