Knockaert absolutely exemplifies everything that the club should and does stand for at the moment, strength, passion and no small amount of skill.
There is dynamism on the south coast, a fine stadium, an imperious £29 million training ground, a hum of efficiency. Not the heftiest club but ambitious, modest and decent, qualities that Chris Hughton, the manager, exemplifies. There is also deep feeling.

Sport, to me, is the ultimate theatre - it has everything - joy, despair, love, heartbreak, passion, hatred. Thus, it never ceases to amaze me that it gets written about by so many, so dispassionately. "A passed to B, who crossed to C, who headed it in the top corner".
Nice to see someone bother to write with a flourish. Bravo.
