Me too, I chat with people whilst waiting for my seagull travel coach, but once there, I’m alone, sitting in my seat. God what a saddo.....I am too!

Rarely go to games but occasionally I might take in an away trip. I normally write a social commentary blog about it and prefer to travel on my own.
However, once I've got a bottle of wine from the natives offy I have myself leading choruses. Wolves away a couple of years back was a splendid trip. I spent the morning making notes on the town and by 10pm I was orchestrating folk down the platform at Euston singing 'We're Ron Harway....'

you've cheered me up, I am not that bad. I do socialise, probably because i have a few drinks and had some enlightening conversations in local pubs.

There's something quite nice about lone days by coach!
Next season will be my 14th season of going to games on my own. I can't stand it, and occasionally the loneliness of it makes me so miserable I don't bother going, but getting smashed has usually made it bearable.
FFS. That's sad. I love going on my own but I have two season tickets so I get to invite friends and family. PM me if are stuck and fancy a bit of company.

Having worked on a cruise ship for the last 4 years, football fans, let along Albion fans are few and far between. On the ship I am on now, there is 2 'decent' football fans who I talk to. An Indian who is a Man United fan, and a sound tech, actually from Sussex, who is a big Liverpool fan, but keeps an eye on Brighton.
However, once, when in port at one Caribbean island (maybe St Lucia) I was getting off the ship for a bit when a guest in an Albion training top was getting back on. We stopped in the terminal and chatted for a bit and then never saw him again! That is the one and only time I have met a Brighton fan on ships. (If you ever cruise take a cruise with Royal Caribbean, let me know and hit me up, you never know, we may be on the same ship! A drink would be on me!)

Talking of loners.... Saw there were a couple of seats for the Norwich match. Contacted my mate to see if he fancied it. By the time he got back to me, one of the last pair of seats had gone even though there were dozens of other singles available. Grrr!

Had a few "lone fan" experiences myself during my early days in North Kent. Not because that was especially far from Brighton, but because we were utter gubbins at the time and away turn-outs were generally less than spectacular. I remember a particularly wet Friday night in Cambridge, where an ill-advised lack of waterproofs (just a bright yellow fleece for warmth) saw me trudge on my lonesome from the station to the ground and back. Thank goodness for Barker and Rod Thomas, digging out a 4-3 win to cheer the evening up a bit.
Latterly, thank goodness for Seagulls Over London, and rediscovering an old friend who had also moved away, but prior to that I'd done quite a few. Swansea on a Friday night, away to Bristol City. Never bothered me too much as you know you could strike up a conversation with anyone else you saw in Blue and White.
