Make sure you enjoy the day. It will be one of the best experiences of you life - if you finish. A day you will never forget, the atmosphere, comaraderie and support are incredible, the tv coverage can never convey what it is like to be there.

Can anybody beat my pb?

I did it in 2000, and though it was one of the hardest things I've ever done it was also one of the most enjoyable & fulfilling. Elms makes the best points IMO. I just wore a normal T-Shirt (which my charity gave me - Liver Disease in Children) & I had no tape or vaseline - and I had no problems with chafing. I did forget to cut my toenails though, and within a week they had all fallen out!

I did a half marathon a few weeks before in about 1 hour 40 mins, and was going for 4 hours. I disgracefully missed that time by 4 minutes. If anything I paced myself too much because the last 6 hours it's only will power that got me through

I ran it last year, unforgettable. Biggest tip is don't overtrain, i did a 20 miler in worthing and then tapered from there.
write name on vest, support is incredible.
tuck in behind a sweet pair of cheeks. ran behind the cheeky girls for a bit, 5 miles went by without realising
good luck all who compete
