Good luck to everyone on Sunday, don't forget the sun cream though.

I'll be Fetchpointing on Sunday, at mile 22. So look out for the odd people with red tops on with yellow sleeves. I'll give anyone in an Albion top a shout!

We're giving out jelly babies and loads of other stuff :)

I did Brighton last week, and then its Three Forts for me next week.

Ah! Despite living there, I was oblivious to that. Best of luck tomorrow, I shall be there on the lookout for Brighton looking runners.

Get yourself down to Greenwich, BOF, that's about 6 miles.

I'll give any Albion looking spectators a shout as well.

So how did we all get on today then?

I managed a 4.15 which is pretty much second for second the same as last weeks Brighton Marathon.

If you were the guy in the albion cap I spoke to before the start, hope you had a good run.

My official time is 03:09:10. I managed my target time of the 03:10 good-for-age cut by a whopping 50 seconds. I was well on track with minutes to spare at 22 but then went a bit wobbly and lost loads of time. Probably that wall thing but I do not know what the symptoms are. When I got my senses back I just had to shut my mind off and go hell for leather for the final two minutes to get my time. I was a right physical and mental mess at the end.

But, whilst my mind is recovered I think the pins (and lungs) will take a bit longer.

What a cracking day though. I loved it. It's a well oiled machine with supporters, parties, soundsystems everywhere. I've only done one other marathon (Berlin) but this ranked higher for the actual race and atmosphere. My favorite moment was some priests sloshing out holy water whilst the church bells rang Chariots of Fire.

Right, my celebratory lamb danzak is due to arrive.

Boston next!

P.S. I saw someone in an Albion top working the luggage trucks. I was too f**ked to say hello.

Also, anyone remember The Albion pub crawl? The route goes right past The Greenwich pub.

Cheers, and good to see you yesterday. Not a beer and wurst feast but as you know that comes this Thursday.

Firstly, massive congratulations for doing it.

Secondly, how could one forget that pub! Was it still open? I'd imagine you weren't a million miles from the one in Rotherhithe either.

Thanks, and good to see you yesterday as well.

It is still open with had a right motley, but very supportive, crew outside boozing making noise in the sunshine.

As I went past and had realised which pub it was, a few memories came back to me: the short guy whose arms were covered in Everton tattoos, who was wearing an Everton t-shirt, who after us explaining who we were and what we were doing offered a hand and said "I'm an Everton fan." I'm glad he cleared that one up. Oh, and our illustrious leader got the number off the barmaid. Although I think it was for business reasons

They were fun days. Must have been over a decade ago now?
