Right, who else is doing it?

I must say I'm totally fired up for it after witnessing the brilliance of Brighton's inaugural race last week.

Did Brighton Sunday and due to do London this Sunday..........London has a lot to live up to. Question......which Albion kit do I run in?

Traditional Blue & white stripes
Blue Palookaville
Or pink & white stripes?

Traditional blue and white. If you wear the Palookaville one no one will know what it is, and the pink one will just look like you're running for breast cancer charities!

I am !
Legs feel like a bus has run over them and stinking cold - and training was going so well. I don't even know if I can run at the moment.

good luck to all; my first London was in 1996, the hottest race in London's history until this Sunday.

therefore TAKE IT STEADY- drink sips not whole bottles and use the showers on the course; carry your drinks bottle until you can swap it for a new one in case they run out.

a friend of mine took too much water on board a couple of years ago and collapsed on the course

and ENJOY

Good Luck to all those thatare running!!

I ran my first (and last) Marathon in London last year, and despitethe fact I was overtaken by a Womble coming down the Mall, it was a FANTASTIC experience.

I'm 50 next year, and I thought it's something that just has to be done - and sooner rather than later!

We all go and watch every year - it really is a great day out - although the crowds have increased steadily over the past few years, meaning that it has become harder to move around the course to try and spot friends/family who are running.

ENJOY!!!

Good luck to all that are running - it's savage!

Take it easy, especially for the first 5 miles - you won't be able to get into a rhythm until then due to the crowds. If you can take a screwable bottle top with you. Last year we got 300mm (ish) bottles of water with the top removed. If you want to hold it for a while HAVE A TOP (you might be able to nick one off a feed-station).

It will be very hot, so use the on-course showers. Encourage everyone around you, you're not going to win so it's about crossing the line. It's the same for all. Work together, make friends and enjoy it! Save the MP3 for miles 16-21, the crowds will pull you the rest of the way.

And SMILE!!

:)
