Not another one of these threads...........I thought you all got what you wanted to say out of your system in the last one :)

Flattering comparison though, Wozza being a bit of a clever clogs.

But to answer your question, Safeway, stylistically you have far more in common with Wozza than me, although Wozza is the Dan Ashcroft of NSC, you are the Jonnaton Yeah?

LI can be full of himself but he is prepared to back up his arguments and is not afraid to get shot down. To me, people like LI make this board intersting as he is not one of the usual sheep that you get on most boards.

Certainly agree that he backs his arguments, but its the way he does it, his casual dismissal and downright disdain of any comment that isn't politically twinned with his 'more left than Stalin' views, does take a bit of getting used to. My advice is to give a good exchange of aguments, don't give up, and eventually he will put you on his ignore list.......... worked for me.

He does make a good number of reasoned football comments, just dont ask him about anything else unless you have a spare two or three hours to waste.

He used to annoy me a lot at one time but I got a grip of myself and realised it's just words on a message board. That goes for most of the stuff on here that makes a few of you go all huffy and holier than thou.

He seems to be in the position most of us have been at one time where you don't know anyone personally on here and can say what you want in whatever style you want without fear of pissing anyone off. In fact the challenge of pissing people off is part of the pleasure and threads like this make it all the more worthwhile as it proves it works. That said I have never seen him be offensive or abusive like some of the more obvious wind up merchants.

Wozza may well be intelligent but intelligence without any wit and charm is nothing to be admired. He has a tendency to be arrogant, takes himself far too seriously, is prone to quite vicious personal attacks and when one does have him on the ropes he scuttles away back into the darkness. You Sir do none of that which is why I thought the comparison was off.

Only my opinion Hungry Joe but I think, apart from the vicious personal attacks and scuttling into the darkness, that pretty sums up LI. I find absolutely nothing witty or charming about LI who, whilst not being abusive, can be dismissive and disrespectful of alternative opinion.

Like I say, it used to pee me off, but I just read the bits I think relevant and ignore the rest now and don't bite.

I guess it's how you read it Munster Monch. I too once got wound up by an LI post and had a bit of a ding-dong with him over it but then came to the conclusion that at times he plays the Agent Provocateur and isn't being as serious as people take him always. I could be wrong though. I have to say that some of his comebacks to his detractors have made me piss myself laughing, such as his recent 'Jeb Bush' pop at Looney. That's where I see the wit and charm. One thing's for sure, he does get people debating him a lot!
