Can any recommend some things to do with 3 kids for a day in London. We’ve done all the usual tourist activities and museums.

Hoping to find something new or off the beaten track. We are staying in Putney, so that side of town would be a bonus.

Depending on how old your kids are my niece loves the play area at the National Army Museum. Free, might be a bit jingoistic!

The Horniman Museum in Forest Hill is a great place to visit and usually has special things on for kids.

If you can get in to a matinee for that Back to the Future show, they'll be blown away. Went to see it with the doris last year (didn't pre-book, just rocked up at a box office), it was absolutely BRILLIANT. £25 each on the day which I thought was reasonable.

Get the No.24 bus at Victoria Station to Hampstead Heath as part of your Travelcard, it's the unofficial tour of London.
Westminster, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Tottenham Court Road.
Me and the duchess, always get off at Camden Market, then onwards to Hampstead for a climb up to Parliament Hill
That will tire the kids out!

Thanks everyone, going for Kew Gardens. Weather permitting.

May also see if we can get some reasonably priced show tickets for the evening
Good choice. If you can spare a cheeky pint, there is a pub in the station opposite the gardens.

If you go directly from Kew to Central London (personal choice) but I'd actually take one stop out to Richmond and jump on a fast overland to Waterloo. It's a far more civil way of travelling.
