Highly unlikely he would return. He said in a recent interview he doesn't really like football and it is just a job to him. It is unlikely he will return for the love of the club. He wants money from football nothing else.

No he never. He said when he's not playing football, he doesn't like to watch it which is understandable...

Great memories of Bobby, but I don't think we want him back. Expensive and injury prone, we need to cut the wage bill and live within our means..

Right here, right now
The question is, would Gus want him?

Is he a Poyet style of player?

I fear that my happy memories of his genius for us could end up being tarnished by a half arsed winding-down-the-career spell now.

I think he said he would love to play for us again if it's the right thing at the time because the withdean was the happiest days for him. The important thing is whether it's the right thing at the time. If Gus is looking for a holding role footballer in the summer to help us get promoted next year then he could do worse.. I'm sure Bobby would love helping us get promoted into the top flight. Coud end up the only Albion player to play for the club in all four divisions. How mad would that be?

I think the it has already been mentioned, but if someone told me last season that we would sign wayne bridge i would of thought what a waste, no doubt he will be fat and slow. even though Bridge is not at his peak, he has still torn this league a new one at times. I'm sure Bobby would still do the same, he is a current prem striker, just look what Jason Roberts did for Reading last season.

Queens Park Rangers are close to completing the £8m signing of Loic Remy after hijacking Newcastle's move for the France striker according to the BBC. With Redknapp also tracking West Brom striker Odemwingie and clearly wanting to bolster his striking options could this pave the way for a return to the Albion for Bobby Zamora? He is not fit yet following surgery to his hip and is not expected to be able to play until February but I did overhear hear this scenario being talked about last week by persons within the club, what are the chances?

Redknapp rates him, ive heard him comment on waiting for him to come back on many occasions. I am thinking that Bob Z could be the biggest wet dream in our history although I would be intrigued to see it happen although if it doesn't soon we will be on the up an he will defo be on the way down.

The question is, would Gus want him?

I have posed the very same question on previous threads. I would love to see him back IF Gus wanted him.

Otherwise, .... in Gus we trust! And he wouldn't do it for sentimantal reasons, even if he had been associated with the club at the peak of Bobby's powers with us.

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
He is a COMPLETELY different player now, not this goal scorer people expect.

He is absolutely ideal to the style of football we play, and is 10 times a better player than when he left

I would bloody love him back here if he got fit
