Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still praised on-loan midfielder Doug Loft for his performance against Wycombe.

Loft will be with the Daggers for the rest of the season, after joining from Brighton in February and impressed Still in Tuesday's 1-0 defeat.

"I thought his performance for the first half was absolutely outstanding, his tackling, his movement and on the ball was fantastic," he told BBC Essex.

"I thought he ran out of steam towards the end, but he will get fitter."

Well done Lofty. Hopefully this loan spell will work in our favour.

Good news, I hope it works out for him. He looked good enough but I don't think he was ever given a fair crack!

Doug Loft...tackling?!?!?!

There is nothing Doug Loft doesn't have in his game, both feet are class and he's got a brilliant footballing brain. He's the biggest waste of talent I can think of when it comes to the Albion. I'm glad he's gone somewhere he's rated.

Dagenham vs Brentford is live on a monday night on Sky btw, so we'll get to see Loft vs Elder!

He didn't run out of steam John.... you'll soon see he is always shit

But he's not though is he! He is after all a profesional footballer, which doesn't happen by accident. (Apart from that fella who claimed he was George Weah's mate at Southampton).

I think John Still has been around long enough to know what he's talking about.

Good news! Maybe we can get £1,000 and a set of tracksuits in exchange? :clap2:

If Loft continues to do well at Dagenham do you think he will have a chance at a new contract here or is this simply a chance for him to impress prospective new clubs?

Depends if Adams is still manager I would think...

Lofty if he has any sense should jump at an offer to sign for the Daggers next season.

So he's played one good half in league 2. Excuse me if I don't ring Fabio Capello with the news.

Doug Loft could be a superb player he hasnt showed how good he is in the first team unfortunatly and for some reason he has had a lot of stick of the fans??

If you watch him when he played regualy for the reserves he was our best player most weeks he is very fast has two great feet and is awesome going forward he will score a lot of goals as a attacking midfielder much better through the centre than as often used in the first team as a wide player.

I think the thing we need to understand with Doug Loft is that he came to us at the age of 19? via Hastings F.C although we view him almost as a a acadamy player coming through the ranks he is going to be lacking the youth experience that the likes of Cox,Fraser,Elphick etc already have as they have been since school days.

Doug is a player who will thrive on confidence he aint gona get that by playing bit parts for the albion and when he does come on getting S**t of the fans whenever he makes a mistake, give him a run in the team and some confidence and he could be the missing link in the centre midfield that we need he is the best attacking central midfielder at the club.

Livermore & Loft for the centre of midfield would be quality.

My gut feeling under mickey is he will be released at the end of the season, i am hoping that under a new manager he will be able to see his potential and keep him on.

If we release him we will eventually regret it when he becomes the player i know he can be.
