We have other good and younger talent in midfield, Mwepu, Moder, Caicedo, Alzate, especially Bissouma if he stays with us, the list goes on. All of those players will get better with time, Loftus Cheek is now the finished article and won't.

As mentioned, wages might be an issue. If the club would be prepared to fund this, then perhaps they’d be better placed to throw that money at a Bissouma contract

I was about to post the same.
When on-loan at Fulham he did very little to impress and on occasions wasn't even making Scott Parker's starting XI.

Prior to that he seemed to have a successful loan spell at Palace. I'm surprised they're not in for him but maybe Palace are beginning to realise that there is better value out there from lesser known names.
