Anyone have mid Sussex results?

Just starting to come in from MSDC.
Cons holding Bolney plus Lucastes and Franklands wards in Haywards Heath.
Burgess Hill is where the Conservatives will be in trouble over the Northern Arc and failure to deliver anything on the town centre redevelopment.

A bit of history. Different circumstances, different seats but mildly instructive. How many seats the incumbent Leader of the Opposition won in the locals when the govt they opposed was 9 years in. Kinnock in 1988: +76 Cameron in 2006: +316 Corbyn in 2019: -110 (and counting)

Unelectable.

John McDonnell said Labour was hoping to make 400 gains ... at least the Tories realised they were going to get mullered.

Not really. If that number is based on 2015, 140 of those had already been lost since then, so not really a "new" loss. They actually now have 708 fewer than they did the day before the election. Seems the fairest way to measure it.

A lot of that is due to defections and some due to by-elections.
It's therefore more comparable to measure vs previous full set, no?

Govey baby about to lose his council to the Lib Dems, after Moggy led the charge away from the Tories in his area.

Looking at the councils in the West Country where the Lib Dems have gained control some of the conservative losses have been brutal.

Also Baldrick is not mincing his words

I’ve left the Labour Party after nearly 45 years of service at Branch, Constituency and NEC levels, partly because of it’s continued duplicity on Brexit, partly because of it’s antisemitism, but also because its leadership is complete shit.
