Am I right in thinking that the Dutch coach who was responsible for getting him in has left the club ?

Yes, the coach has left (sacked?) after some alleged racist comments.

Naylor in the Athletic suggested fellow Dutchman Gerard Nijkamp, Cincinnati’s general manager, instigated the move and was an admirer of Locadia when at PSV.
