It looks as if Pocognoli has rejected a loan to us so we are back to square 1 who is there that is available and capable as it appears CH is reluctant to play LR there except in an emergency 1 off game.

That would be a surprise bring in Dan Harding on loan.

Do we have any evidence to suggest that CH is reluctant to play LR at left back? (we know you are of course!) The fact that CH has picked our first choice left back for the job since the start of the season merely indicates that he thinks Bong is the best LB at the club, not proof that he's reluctant to play LR there.

What makes you think he's reluctant to play Rosenior there? We haven't even played our next game since Bong got injured. Rosenior has actually played LB for a large portion of his career, I don't see why we need another one unless we'd be using them as cover for LR.

Todays Argus says CH has been trying to bring in loan but been unsuccesful so it looks like LR will play left back at Reading

What is Zeki Fryers ex Tottenham now at Palace but been out on loan this season to Ipswich and Rotherham doing now.

Those loans were last season, not this season, he hasn't been named in the 25 man Palace squad for this season so he's not going to have played much football since May.

He has obviously been training with them so better than what we have excluding LR who we have discussed.

He's 23 and started 21 games in his career, nothing to suggest that he's actually anything more than an expensive gamble by Palace. At least the bloke from West Brom has played in excess of 200 games and has experience.

There is no disputing that but apparently he has rejected the loan so we have to look elsewhere.

Yes but why would we start looking at more untried gambles just because one experienced player turned us down. If we are serious about bringing in someone to cover the left back role then we are surely going to go down the more experienced route, Stephen Ward would be a much more likely target. No point in putting in another clubs untried youngster just to keep Rosenior on the right wing, that could be more damaging than anything we potentially lose from not having him in midfield, especially when March and Murphy can cover the wings until Lua Lua is fit.

Yes, we have a valued member of our squad sidelined for three months. Bringing in a loan to cover is standard common sense. Nothing to do with not wanting to play Rosenior at LB (or panicking at the thought that none of our veritable flock of wingers/wide men can replace Rosenior at RM).
So yes, it looks as if Rosenior will play RB at Reading - very likely versus Sheffield Wednesday and MK Dons - and maybe more - too.

Well having seen LR at left back against Reading what is the general opinion do we need to chase a loan. I noticed a few comments that he cant cross with his left foot which presented problems. Should we look for a genuine left footer, I leave it to peoples views and opinons.

Chicksens loan is up at Leyton Orient do we have an U21s game this week where he can perhaps grab his last chance to impress and to deputise for Bong.

Hughton has said post-match that Chicksen's loan deal is very likely to be extended however we do have a recall option on him. Think he'll be sold in January for a minor fee rather than letting him go on a free at the end of the season
