The thing is, it is a similar situation to the end of last season, although now Barnes is not suspended for 7(?) games. No one wants to go out on loan to sit on the bench, which chances are-if we only play one up front-they will be.

Barnes can play up front if anything happens to Leo. If they both get injured then there is reason to worry.

exactly my thoughts too , unless we are suddenly going to revert to 442 do not see why the clamour for a striker, a goal scoring midfielder a la trotter would be of far more benefit

Brighton - In your face
Nail. Head.
When Ash was suspended and we were searching for a striker, I repeatedly put this bloke forward on here.
It didn't materialise. His scoring record is ridiculous. Will have to see if he's in Man City's squad for the season.

He wouldn't drop to the championship though. Just can't see it.

One of Cardiff's strikers would do. Surely they can't accommodate Gestede, Bellamy, Campbell, Maynard and the Danish kid?

Or Joe Mason?

He's been one of the better strikers I've seen against us come up against in the past few years. Quick, canny, good at losing his marker and with an eye for goal. I'm sure he would almost certainly offer us something different up front than what we currently have available.

People think about the players you are suggesting! Ulloa is our main striker so anyone who comes in on loan is likely going to sit on bench for 60-70 mins per game unless injury to Leo, we have Ash and the soon to return cms , think a LB and goal scoring midfielder are higher on priority list

Behind Ulloa and Barnes we've got CMS and Hoskins (it's just they're always fecking injured).

Buckley is probably the best option as I don't rate barker. Will be a good goal scorer conference prem or L2 one day but yeah.

Loan wise I think Sothampton probably have too many strikers and one would be able to play here without moving house etc?

Hoskins may never play again and CMS is out until October at the earliest. We need to buy a striker, rather than loan one.

the way i see it is that the 2 main strikers are Barnes & ullioa week in week out will be the main men hoskins injured for long time & will cms be the same???

brighton need goals & to put the other strikers under constant pressure knowing 1 or 2 bad performances could see them loose there position.

John Guidetti will not break through at man city, will he want to play in the reserves?

Billy Sharp is another if brighton were to go for him would rather see them get him outright

brighton do need a good left back
