We’ve got 5 or 10 years of this. Corbyn, Coogan, Owen Jones, assorted loons and left wing racists trying to scupper Labour. Jealous because their version in 2019 was crushed.

The arrogance to think that their obscure, unelectable cabal is entitled run the generally conservative UK.

I think we crossed lines. That post was me winding up @Harry Wilson's tackle about his love for FPTP hiding extremists in both the big gangs

Whatever happened to subtly

We’ve started getting political parties bumph. Tempted to put up a “No Canvassers Sign” until the 4th.

Do you think the cyclist-tripper will visit our neck of the woods again?

Well don't vote for them then. But they would be in the actual parties they believed in, rather than trying to hide out in the traditional two coalitions like they normally do in the hope of getting into power unseen
I don't agree with your analysis. The hard left in Labour genuinely believe the clause 4 narrative is the destiny of Labour. They are not hiding within it. The hard right in the tory party probably have a similar (albeit 180 degrees to the right) outlook on their destiny.

The far left and right are traditionally splitters. I recall there being more than 50 Marxist organizations in the UK at one point. Most of them now gravitate to the SWP. The far right also seem to invent a new vehicle every few years - NF, BNP . . . the Brexit party, whatever Farage aligns with today (can't remember the name - Rummage perhaps?).

It isn't easy to get into power unseen, unless you attempt to deselect a sitting MP (like Labour's extremists used to do). And if you do that the stooge will likely lose his seat in the next election. Nobody likes a carpetbagger.

No. The reality is that nutters in nut-case parties are kept out by FPTP. You may not like it, but it is a fact.

Obviously Jeremy Corbyn, John McDonell, Rebecca Long-Bailey, Jacob Rees-Mogg, Suella Braverman, Lee Anderson etc prove your point completely and leave me with no come back whatsoever

This is absolutely appalling. So anyone can make an allegation against a sitting MP after an election has been called in order to prevent a candidate being able to run? Seems very dodgy to me and a tactic which is rife for abuse.
He’s not exactly putting up much of a fight about it from what I can see. This allegation may well have been brewing for a few weeks. Bear in mind that the election was only called a week ago and rather out of the blue.

I do love that very direct connection with the local electorate. Lists would allow c@nts and extremists into the Commons, far worse than seen to date. People a constituency would be alerted to well in advance.

Doesn’t 47% in the polls suggest far more good than harm, from the overwhelmingly moderate Labour Party?
I think the current government are so shit they should be able to walk the election without pissing of their supporters

None of them are hiding, are they? And none of them are promoting a new world order. And as we have seen, they are eventually sidelined or expelled. If they chose to distill their worst instincts and form new parties (Corbyn) then FPTP will likely keep them in their box. If Corbyn is elected, he won't be followed by futher members of the Jeremy party - unless we move to PR. I am content.

Anyway, you are welcome to feel you have made a good point. You still won't get PR though (unless Starmer has a 'moment' when he's PM; hopefully he won't).

I agree with this a lot but I think many are missing out cuts both ways. It's not just the left wing of the party that seems to be intent on self harm
examples?

Are you suggesting that when Lloyd Russell-Moyle announced this suspension and said "I wish Keir Starmer, Angela Rayner, and the Labour team the best of luck and hope to be celebrating Labour wins across Sussex and beyond on election night", that he was actually lying ???
He has actually gone up a lot in my estimation by the dignified and honourable way he has bowed out recognising due process must take place etc.

Contrast this with the hard left MPs/Wannabes who are now actively supporting the Tory Party’s aims though I suspect they’re too daft to acknowledge it. The anti-semites are quick to turn the table on Labour accusing them of racism etc and dreaming up bizarre conspiracy theories. No. It’s them that are the problem. What a contrast we have with Sir Keir crushing them against Corbyn placating them.

It’s going to be landslide and there is absolutely nothing the hard left can do to stop it.

You can now hold your head high and vote for someone that lies constantly, will change very little to the country, is funded by big corporations and stands firmly behind by an Apartheid state that is carrying out a genocide.

Well done. That will show the "hard left" (whoever they are )

I have mixed feelings about this. I’m not entirely surprised at what’s happened because I’ve heard rumours for some time, but thought if they were true that they would by now have surfaced in the national press (and by the time I get to hear stuff I’m certain that hundreds of others have heard it before me).

It just doesn’t sit comfortably with me that someone’s career can be destroyed by allegations that are possibly unfounded. If he’s subsequently found to be innocent it’s too late for him to be reinstated and it might take several years to get his political career back on track. Rightly or wrongly, given the timing of the allegations, that’s probably the main motivation of whoever made the complaint. Can only assume there must be clear evidence of wrong doing to warrant suspension.

What’s this genocide you talk of? Gaza? The lowest % of civilian casualties in any known significant conflict. You have been consuming too much Pallywood.
