[Politics] Lloyd Russell-Moyle

Got something to say or just want fewer pesky ads? Join us... 😊

I've been telling you for years that Labour is now run by a bunch of political thugs and this is just the latest example of many. Keir Starmer lied repeatedly to become Labour leader, no one in the party would have voted for bullshit like this.

Lloyd bless him had done all he could to appease the bullies - he had distanced himself from the Left in recent years, was smiley face on any of the Labour garbage pushed out recently but it's a real lesson, you can never appease genuinely awful people who do not believe in any kind of natural justice or fair process. There'll be running the country soon, staffing every quango and powerful sinecure going, so they can piss around with your lives next

Fully behind Labour purging the far left. Wish the Tories would purge the far right in their party.
Commitment to any kind democratic norms or natural justice in this country is genuinely frighteningly skin deep

Are you suggesting that when Lloyd Russell-Moyle announced this suspension and said "I wish Keir Starmer, Angela Rayner, and the Labour team the best of luck and hope to be celebrating Labour wins across Sussex and beyond on election night", that he was actually lying ???

A typically pompous response.

The far left have the Socialist Worker Party and Galloway's freaks. They don't NEED to be in the Labour Party. A true democracy sees these ideologically pure left wing parties go toe to toe with Starmer's Labour.

They might get their butts kicked though, because extreme socialism is about as popular as a fart in a space suit.

then as his potential voters should be told the exact nature of the claim....
Why? If I were at work and a claim of, say, sexual harassment (of which there's no indication here, to be clear, just an example) was brought against me and I had to be suspended, I sure as hell wouldn't want everyone knowing about it until due process was followed. I certainly wouldn't expect my boss to share the details either.

Currently a lobbyist for Hanbury Strategy - representing gambling , finance and oil firms.

Interestingly the Labour candidate for Hertsmere was also at Hanbury Strategy
Unrepentant Iraq war fanatic apparantly too. It's now vital that you believe wholeheartedly in killing a large number of Middle East civilians to have any kind of career in the Labour Party. If you don't, you get purged (purges now apparently are a good thing)

Not just any allegation. There needs to be primae facie evidence. But yes, an opponent can hijack a candidacy. As we saw in the recent by elections with Labour needing to withdraw a candidate and not being able to replace them
The assumption is that the allegation would have been thrown out unless there was enough evidence to launch an investigation.

The timing may well be down to the complainant not wanting LMR to get another term but that might be for a genuine reason.

It’s all speculation but as you say, you can’t just make an allegation and the party take action without enough evidence to warrant an investigation.

Ignorance pours out of you like spent air. I've been a member of the Labour Party for 40 years, who the f*** are you to tell me where I belong? You believe political parties should be run like dictatorships. Why not everything else then?

Name the ''extreme socialist'' position in the 2019 Labour Manifesto?

Sounds like you have created a fantasy in your head about what those on the left in Labour want.

There have been some strange political coalitions over the years, but this current one of the corrupt and the naive from either end of the political spectrum is a doozy :shootself

Calm down dear.

Nobody has been 'purged'. Lloyd Russell-Moyle has accepted that he has to be suspended and "wished Keir Starmer, Angela Rayner, and the Labour team the best of luck and hope to be celebrating Labour wins across Sussex and beyond on election night".

Do you think he is lying when he says that, or that he's been "purged" without him realising :lolol:

Do you want Starmer to run the country?

Because, if you don't you should leave, and if you do, then maybe do something supportive?

Such a shame he seemed such a nice passionate chap. Hopefully he is innocent in what he is supposed to have done.

Proportional Representation would get you what you want. At the fringes you’d have Communists and Fascists (representing minority extremes in the general population) but the majority would tend towards centrist coalitions.
I'd rather not have communists and facists in parliament, thanks.

Well don't vote for them then. But they would be in the actual parties they believed in, rather than trying to hide out in the traditional two coalitions like they normally do in the hope of getting into power unseen

We’ve got 5 or 10 years of this. Corbyn, Coogan, Owen Jones, assorted loons and left wing racists trying to scupper Labour. Jealous because their version in 2019 was crushed.

The arrogance to think that their obscure, unelectable cabal is entitled run the generally conservative UK.

I just so don’t want the Feckin Tories.
Beggars belief all this internal crap.

Doesn’t matter how they lose, just as long as they lose BIG.

But all this sh*t is going to mean they don’t lose as big or maybe even the unthinkable.
