Just felt like saying they really pissed me off at the Hull demo. Well, not all of them, but at least a few were very rude, were very rude to my girlfriend because she wasnt in a Brighton shirt and looked down their noses at me asking me in a bitchy voice if I "was 'hull" and then turning their noses up when I said I was a Brighton fan.
Also, Liz Costa emailed me to say thankyou for helping with the event, only to finish it by saying 'hopefully we'l get our new ground and you and your crowd can come and visit soon'.

Just annoyed me slightly.

Rant over.

One of the problems with being any sort of supporter's representative is that some of them develop a bit of a holier-than-thou attitude. Ignore them. Some don't to be fair, remain very cool and are a campaigning credit to the club. I have some very clear opinions on who falls into which category at the Albion, but let's not be unkind...

I emailed Liz back explaing how rude some had been, very much in the 'holier than thou' way, adding that I am sure it is not representative of the supporters club in general, but not had so much as an appology back.

High up on the South Downs.
It's a pity that our supporters' club is small and is perceived as being cliquey. I belong but can't get to meetings so this is not my view but is what people say. One day we may need some sort of supporters' trust to save the club.

The other week at Luton, me and a few others were waiting for our tickets to be delivered via Supporters Coach, but nobody appeared to have them. Having travelled substantial distances on a Tuesday night (me from Bristol), this news was greeted by us with more than a little disappointment but she offered no sympathy, instead looking down her nose at us non-Supporters Club Coach travellers and simply sneering "well i know nothing about any tickets."

when I asked if there was anybody at the club she might be able to contact to assist our 'where are our tickets?' enquiry she showed no interest at all..... and simply left us

as a Brighton fan, away from home i expected more - especially with her club connections.

fortunately they turned up (and had been on her coach)

never liked the bloke personally!

Whenever I think of lovely Liz, I always remember a quote from her in Build A Bonfire.

After months of campaigning as a Second division club against Bellotti and Archer, we were getting nowhere. No-one knew of our plight and we needed some direct action.

then came the York pitch invasion.

And this was Liz's take on the whole thing: "It was at that moment that I realised the North Stand were the salt of the club."

Now, I'm not being funny, but which other part of the ground was full week in week out? Did she previously think the North Stand was just some kind of hang out?

So bloody condescending.

But she does run a well organised and behaved coach though, and there are no atlernatives for some in getting to away games!

I can understand how you feel Richie. The only reason they had their photo taken for the official site was because they had the banners with them.

They turned up over 20 minutes late.

Don't worry mate. We know who put all the hard work in really.

Just got me that they seemed so far up their own arses to actually ackowledge any of us that had actually helped organise it and got there on time. I tried getting Hull Daily Mail to hang about for them and they did for about 20 minutes, then when they finally turned up I got moaned at for letting the paper leave. The rather comic way half of them ran across the road going 'its ok, we are here now, emergency over' just made me laugh.

I remember going to Kidderminster a few years back, we arrived at the ground and went to the social club, bought a pint then were asked if we were with Liz Costa, we replied no, we were then asked to leave!!

Sounds, and no doubt looked, like Dad's Army.

I know a disabled bloke who got banned from the coach because he had an epileptic fit. Costa is a total bitch.

Probably wasn't because of the fit. Probably because he did it in a seat belonging to one of her 'regulars'. Sitting 'in someones seat' was always the unwitting crime of any irregular traveller.

You can knock them but at the end of the day where else can you buy a can of pop for 30p?

As long as you drink it quietly that is.
