I didn't watch any of the U17s games but are these Liverpool youngsters, Sterling and Morgan much better than Jake?

I only ask because if some of you think we should be getting them on loan then surely we should be giving Jake more game time too.

FWIW i would say Danny Wilson is a good shout as he can play at centre or full back, so ticks two positions we need covering, he was very good for Rangers but isn't really getting a look in at Liverpool.

Stirling and Morgan are primarily wingers where as Jake is a central midfielder. I'm guessing the only reason Stirling/Morgan have been mentioned is because the KLL deal seems to have collapsed!

Paul O'Grady - at least he'd talk his way out of any bookings

Ah right, cheers, however if we are going to help develop any 17 year olds, would it not be better to start with our own? I know Caskey isn't a winger but he is an attacking midfielder who has looked way beyond his years whenever he has played.

Jonjo Shelvey, Danny Wilson etc are a couple of years ahead and Liverpool may well be wanting them out on loan to gain experience so as to push for their first team next year, whilst already good enough to do a cracking job at this level.

Jerry and his pacemaker?

We need someone backed with pace-making ability.

It's Gerry Marsden, and obviously he's not walking alone or he'd not cross the Mersey.
He was asked, at his age "how do you do what you do?", and what he thought of the idea of playing for us. He just said "I like it".

Fixtures psb. Try another chirpy Merseybeat act, or I'll sue :glare:

Shelvey and Wilson sound ideal. Centre Mid and Centre Half and Full back covered in one SWOOP....

\Shelvey would be a great signing! I dont think he is good enough to cut it at liverpool anyway! pacheo would also be brilliant, and i think it would be the kind of player that gus would be interested in!
