Some nice football from us but we cant let Salah have another 7 shots
It’s only a matter of time before he gets his usual brace against us!

Broadly speaking, Very happy with the first half. No glaring errors or moments of stupidity. Yes, I include Veltman for the goal. he naturally tried to stop the ball going through, as a defender, he can't be blamed for that.

Decent going forward, Decent at the back, don't look particularly shaky. If I had to pick holes, I'm not convinced with Lamptey at RW with his new lack of pace (He's not big and strong either so gets bullied, not his fault, but it is what it is). We don't have any real options for the position either though.
Lamptey offering nothing going forward or in defence today so far. He’s ripe for substitution.

Well that was a pretty entertaining half.

Some things that caught my eye:

We had them down our left. Hope that continues in the second half.

Nunez is rapid. Never realised that before.

I really miss Mac Allister. Wonderful player running the midfield. Sadly it's for them and not us anymore.

We haven't threatened down our right at all. I'd be tempted to bring on Goodnight. Not sure who for though - Veltman hasn't been great but has a tremendous knack of winning free kicks which could be vital second half. Likewise we could do with Lamptey's pace at the back.

Was that really a booking for Gross? I saw what I thought were far worse tackles from Liverpool just given as a free kick.

Impressive first half and lucky bounce of the ball for the equaliser.

We couldn’t actually win this with a slice of luck could we?

Yes, on seeing it again, he was. Two of their players were off but not Diaz.
We are still in the game but it’s going to be a tough second half.
Yes I take back what I posted. I'll leave it as it is just to prove I do get it wrong sometimes....humble

Playing against Liverpool top of the League. One each at half time....Everyone doing great. Salah looking likely to score though !!

Give them a break....playing top team away against some great players .... One each at half time. Brilliant game Great Half !!!
It’s relentless from them isn’t it. An inform team going for the biggest title in the world full of superstars. Never forget this everyone. It’s very very tough for all our lads in games like this still - we’re not of the standard of these top 3 - next week will be just the same. Accept it and give the lads a lot of leeway. Remember we’ve over achieved massively.

Very harsh on Pascal, but very harsh on Mac Allister too for his “foul” on Adingra. Referee is guessing half the time

It wasn't even a foul both players missed the ball and Mac kicked Gross

Can't accuse the ref of being a homer, he's given us some very soft decisions!
Can see Barco on for Lamptey, still have to manage his minutes though and maybe some others as well

No. But he had to even up the soft yellow for MacAllister.
Wasn’t soft for me. He was looking at nothing but Adingra and at full speed a push like that makes Adingra fall over. Stopped a big breakaway - clear yellow for Mac.
