We've got the same officials as when we played the actual Champions of Europe.

I've no idea if this means anything at all.

Friend is normally only a friend to the top 6 and has form being no friend to us whatsoever. I was a little surprised he didn't give at least 2 penalties against us in the Dirty match and felt he was tolerably fair and almost competent. So I expect a conservative 30 free kicks for them versus 2 for us, a red card for us in the first half and 2 penalties for them.

Yeh that will be horrible. 90 minutes of through a scouse prism fan TV

I've taken to watching games on mute.

I don't like the crowd noise and I don't like most of the commentators ... the way I see it, you don't get commentators when you go to a match

As its on BT, I won't be able to watch that (Sky Sports sub and Amazon Prime is enough - can't/don't want to afford BT as well), so will have JC and Warren moaning on BBC Radio Sussex, whilst running the match via Malaysian TV which will probably be around 30 seconds - 1 minute behind our talented twosome, so I know when I need to watch!

When the Amex IS open to supporters, I often DO have commentators; not the "knowledgeable" around me  but an earphone in with the phone tuned in to JC/Warren. Also handy for goal alerts from other matches etc., and handy for when something has happened right down the other end to understand what has happened to which player(s).

Just glanced at a Liverpool forum. They're talking of "giving them a pasting" and "tearing them a new one", while they discuss which players they'll rest before the tough game at the weekend.

Mind you, one poster talks about how Brighton will park the bus and try to sneak a goal, which suggests he hasn't seen us much this season

Astonishing that any general PL fan would consider us a “park the bus team”. Fair enough, they haven’t seen many of our games. But the “Brighton play good football under Potter” narrative is quite mainstream at this point.

Sod em. Most of ‘em aren’t even Scousers anyway.

TBF, there's only one who thinks we park the bus. There are a few posters who also say we're a decent footballing side and that we're no pushovers - but they all think they're going to win

Just had an email from my Liverpool supporting mate - he thinks it will be 3-1 - and I think that their fan base would pretty much go along with that expectation

These aren't the players you're looking for.

In both of those cases, Leicester and Wolves, Burn was on the left of a back 4, and was heavily targeted. And you would do that again at Liverpool?

Against Wolves he was in a back 3.

Against Leicester, in the 2nd half Solly was clearly assigned to play much closer to Burn, to help him deal with Justin. We drew that half 0-0. Thats what we need tonight.

I’ve been looking at twitter.

There is an Liverpool ITK (supposedly) account saying that Allison is definitely out tonight, and could be for a couple of games ( not that I care after today) and that Thiago and Salah have late fitness tests , they are both expected to only be on the bench. Now I understand that Twitter has the biggest attention seekers in the world posting, but, this fella is rated by a lot of LFC fans as having been correct in early injury calls before. I’m not saying it’s gospel, but if it is, we could be in with a shout tonight.

Not when he got eaten alive by Traore. At 1-1 March was switched from left wing back to right wing, and the problems started. Second half March went back to the left, just as he did in the second half v Leicester.

Just seen the clapping for Captain Tom before the Burnley v City game wonder what they'll do at Liverpool considering his No1 song
