A wonderful game of football tonight with Liverpool going into the 2nd leg clear favourites.

At the risk of name-checking, I had the pleasure of watching the game with Rob McCaffrey (ex You're On Sky Sports), who's a true Liverpudlian.

Liverpool were fantastic going forward for the first 80 minutes, although it might have been a different story if Kolarov's thunderbolt had gone in.

Could've easily have been 4 or 5 at half-time with Mane wearing some different shooting boots.

Spoke to Rob about the violence that happened against City, specifically the coach attacks.

He hoped that there wouldn't be any reoccurrence in this one, as did plenty of other Scouse fans in the bar.

Worth reiterating on here that not everyone from Liverpool's a scally or a thug.

Difficult one for me, I always like to support English teams in Europe, regardless of who they are. But I've always had a bit of a hatred for Liverpool as I got beaten up by three Liverpool fans in the early-90's, in Birmingham, when I was 14. Absolute pricks who no doubt only supported Liverpool because they'd been successful fairly recently. I mouthed off to them after they'd taken the piss out of my chosen team, languishing in the second division at the time. I didn't think a load of Brummie Liverpool fans were in any position to throw stones. They chased me, caught me and battered me. Twats.

Plus, Roma have that cool pig with loads of tits.

We need Liverpool to make the final as there's no way they'd risk Salah or most of their midfield v us then. They've got Oxlade-C and Can both out, their midfield suddenly looks lacking in depth.

At the end of the video you can see someone who was kneeling down, obviously attending the guy who was flat out on the floor get kicked in the head I think.
Seems to have been orchestrated as they attacked the Kop end via a side street. As far as I’m aware this was a surprise all round.
An Irish guy seems to be in a critical state, not sure if he was the man lying down in the street.
I would imagine a few of the posters on here last night would have found it all quite amusing and entertaining and are as I write concocting a story of how the reds started it all anyway.

Those roma fans weren’t even alive in 1984 so they’re misguided cowards who’ve rightly been charged with attempted murder this morning. Most likely they’ve killed a father, brother etc who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time as these low life. Let’s hope the poor victim pulls through. Can't believe some of the stuff I've seen on Twatter about this cowardly attack. People trying to score cheap points against their rivals as some innocent guy is critical in hospital. A guy who has a family, who was excited to go to a game of football. Italians are notorious for this sort of attack, & they love a blade, particularly stabbing from behind, in the back or buttocks. Scousers going over there, literally need to watch their backs.

For those wanting to score points, with remarks such as "Liverpool done in their own back yard", anyone can see that these Roma fans picked a soft target, then ran. Absolute scum.

Klopp will be resting several players versus Stoke, he indicated that in his post match BT chat. Hopefully their second string will still stuff Stoke.

As sickening as the premeditated and orchestrated campaign to threaten the lives of the whole Man C matchday squad and officials by raining a barrage of cans, bottles and bricks down on them for some considerable distance before they reached the safety of the ground.
