How ironic that Everton are only one place above them

That would indeed be excellent, Everton would also be suitable opponents...I can hear the home fans singing "you're not a big club anymore!"

I said to a Liverpool fan at the time of the appointment that Roy Hodgson wasnt the man and that he wont see Christmas as their manager. That is looking good now.

I actually rather like and respect Roy Hodgson and was gutted when he took the Liverpool job as I thought he might actually make them good again.

Happily, that doesn't appear to be the case, but it doesn't mean I want to see the bloke fired...especially not all the time the micky mousers are doing so badly :clap2:

Hodgson is a quality manager and if he gets the boot from Liverpool he'll soon pick up something else.
However, to see a "big" club in this position is very entertaining and it would do them good to have a bit of humility forced upon them. I remember a few seasons back when everton only avoided the drop with a last day win and before the game they were saying "we can't get relegated, we're too big a club"

A win takes them to 9th, if they don't beat Blackpool I will be amazed.
