I don't know why Joe Cole isn't getting a look in at Liverpool. He did well at Lille last season and seemed to be making an effort to get on with Brendan Rodgers in the programme. Always been a decent and underrated player.

I find it totally bizzarre that either Rodgers or LFC, let alone both, agreed to this being filmed.

LFC are pretty much in turmoil, and now enjoying their worst start in 102 years.

One thing you never ever do is bollock people in front of others. Praise in public, punish in private, is the best way to appeal to someone when you have tough messages to deliver.

What LFC must be thinking now they are in this position escapes me.

And I also thought the huge Rodgers portrait in his own home completely changed my perception of the man. its exactly what Del Boy did when he made £6.2m on the fobwatch!

To be fair on Rodgers, the picture was apparently a gift from a charity in recognition of how he'd helped them. I suppose it may seem egotistical to have it on display but, equally, you could argue that it was a nice touch for them to see it so prominent in his home.

As for him and Liverpool wanting the documentary, I don't think you'd find anyone this side of the Atlantic genuinely pleased to have the cameras around so much.... but the driving force was the American owners as it's a series that's really been made for the States.

It was interesting how Brendan Rogers spent time in the programme to highlight how important family and friends are to him ....
"This is my God daughter"
"This is my Daughter"
"This is my Daughter's partner"
"This is my Wife"
"This is my sister-in-law"
"This is my brother-in-law"
"This is a picture of some bloke who's been dead 20 years"
"This is a picture of the first dustman that ever collected a bin from us........"

No mention whatsoever of his son?
Didn't even make reference to him?

I wonder what Anton made of that? ???

I read that he was allegedly on a sexual assault charge and at the moment it's probably best he's kept out of the spotlight.

I understand why you say that, but I don't think he needed to say "this is a picture of my son ... who incidentally is the subject of an unproven but serious allegation at the moment .....".
To make no mention of him at all, almost feels like the family are ashamed of him.
Just seemed a bit bizarre to me.

Looking forward to the moment when he says something in training & Raheem Sterling says "steady" in response, to be told something along the lines of "if you ever tell me to 'steady' again son, you'll be straight out of the door"
:lolol:
