Disregarding who opened this thread, unfortunately Liverpool's defeat at Chelsea will mean that it now becomes an important match for them if they want to stay third. Our hopes they might be on their holibubs have taken a big knock.
Similarly, since bl00dy Huddersfield have nicked a point at Citeh, they'll now see us as a necessary victim if they are to reach the 100 target. Another team of top, top players who won't, unfortunately, be looking to cruise through without putting in too much effort.
Still, we're staying up :)thumbsup:) and we didn't expect anything from these two games anyway - and now we're definitely starring down the barrel at the possibility of a couple of thumpings!

They could drop to 5th if we beat them and Chelsea win, they will be well up for keeping the Champions League place as they could end up back in the Europa Cup if we beat them and they then lose to Madrid ( that one is likely imo). Their season would then have ended in perceived failure. They WILL be up for it against us, but feck it there is absolutely no pressure on us and there will be loads on them, a famous victory at Anfield is a real possibility imo, as is an absolute tonking....

You're right, of course - but my money's firmly on the tonking!

If we could actually go ahead with this, think of the money we could raise for charity.

A quiet quote from today's Football Weekly podcast:-

'To be honest they have a better chance beating Madrid, than they do Brighton'.
