Messi looked a lot like a bearded Jim Carrey
What were the odds, pre match, on LFC going through in 90 minutes?
I’d like it for Liverpool to now go and win the league. They’re some team, and if they win it means we will have got at least a point against City.
The ball didn't get changed.
Watch it again
That ball boy might just have made a huge contribution to Liverpool winning the Champions League
Quick thinking
Thanks, great writing despite translation not being the best.El Pais report:
'Although it no longer smells like when football was thought of in The Boot Room, Anfield is still Anfield. Now it gives off the same smell that many stadiums, even resembles some of the most modern in the Champions, and arrival in the field is more comfortable and quiet, more fluffy than in the alley of the European Cup. There is, however, no field that roars so much and so well, in such a harmonious and synchronised way, as Anfield. The communion begins with the a cappella song of You'll never walk alone, admirable above all for the silent fans, always fascinated by the liturgy of the Premier teams.
The ritual hypnotises any rival, also those who are already warned, or if you want to be chastened like Barça. There is no field that has the soul of Anfield. The excitement is breathtaking as soon as the match starts even if Barça takes the ball.'
Milner is an incredible player really. He IS limited, but he knows that, knows how to get the most out of himself, puts in an incredible shift, and seems to be twice as clever as anyone else. Hugely underrated.
Did it not? There were two balls on the pitch until a second before TAA kicks it, it looked like the ballboy put a new ball in the quadrant.
I'm not judging either way before anyone jumps on me, it's just a point of interest that I've never seen happen like that before.
We have a player like that.
Jahanbakhsh
Wasn’t deliberate on the part of the ball boy, but the Barca players totally switched off and didn’t realise a ball had been quickly placed in the corner (they saw the other one bouncing off the pitch). Brilliant thinking from Alexander-Arnold and a quality finish from Origi (given he wasn’t looking either when the ball was first hit to him)
The UK is not socialist enough to subsidise the BBC to outbid BT Sport or Sky for football. And Corbyn prefers tiddly***** to football so he won't change anything. But we can all survive. Find a pub like what we did. And I actually have BT sport. And....exhale.
No problem not seeing the game live, but there should be a highlights show. Uefa care far more about dosh than people actually being able to watch the games. To not even allow free-to-view highlights is perverse. Sport of the people, eh?
I see your point. Yes, quite. That's mad.
Anyway, I shall be back at the pub tonight for Spuds u like

But if Spurs overtake Chelsea, that would mean Chelsea not qualifying if Arsenal won that competition?
Please say yes.
You really and truly are a miserable ****.
