Anyone else on the 17.43 out of Lime Street? Trying to work out if it’s best to just walk very quickly straight after the game or a cab/bus. Anyone shed any light on how those shuttle buses operate post-match?

As a guide in August all the buses has left by the time we got there (something to do with 90% of the Everton fans leaving on 75 minutes) so had to wait for the first couple to return again from the town centre so go to Lime Street at just before 18.00. Walking to Kirkdale is an option but much further from Anfield than Goodison (30 mins compared to 15) so not really an option for that train. Apparently there are always more buses for Liverpool games than Everton ones. We are booked on the 18.43 but will get on the earlier of we get there in time (not advanced fares)

Realistically, it seems like walking is our best bet as it least it keeps our fate in our own hands!

I usually walk one of the scheduled bus routes and hop on if there is an opportunity.
I’ve also jogged for five minutes or so to a bus route that heads into town, but doesn’t go too close to the ground.
