[Albion] Liverpool Away Tickets

i know it's subjective but if I was only doing one of the two I know which I'd plump for.
Yep, it just happens I did Anfield last season, walked past it earlier this season but haven't been to Toon for a long while

Yes, as it happens there is.
Away fan sections in most grounds tend to start in a corner or end of a stand and spread across towards the centre where there will be a segregation area before the home fans carry on. To maximise sales clubs will want to sell any spare tickets that the away club do not use to their own fans. To facilitate this the segregation area can be moved/adjusted within the stand whereas obviously the corner/end cannot be moved. So, unless an away club is very confident that all will sell, the tickets are released starting from the corner/end and as sales carry on then blocks closer to the centre become available.
I will say that in the past i have criticised the club on occasion for being over cautious, however i feel they are definitely improving in that regard. As an example it was pleasing this year that the whole of the away section at Chelsea was released in one go rather than corner first.
Did we do this to the extreme at home vs Burnley a few years back, when we gave them 2 blocks in the south east corner after they took about 300?

Quite likely as we must instruct/request other clubs to start their sales in that corner. The more they can sell the closer to the goal they get.
I was mildly amused when i looked on a wolves fan site to see how their sales were going before our recent match and found a post complaining that the person concerned had bought a seat early close to the corner and the latest block released was much nearer to the middle !!! So it is not just our fans who sometimes struggle with this.
As an aside to this i sometimes read posts on here where people say they will wait for a certain block/area to open which is fine unless a lot of fans start to do the same thing. The inherent danger is the club do not know that people are waiting and may mistake the lack of sales for a lack of demand and then not open the very area that those people are waiting for.

Maybe an away ticket swap window could open up to fans already holding a ticket before any further newly allocated blocks are put on sale to other fans?

It is a good idea but i feel very difficult to enact in practice especially as our system seems quite rigid in fixing a ticket to a name as soon as it is bought. It cannot even let someone return a ticket for resale when they discover they cannot go to a game due to a change in circumstances (even if they do not want a refund) and would like a fellow fan to use it.
