Yeah, I don’t see how it would work.

Just Johnson trying to score points

How much would it cost to buy 51 percent of all the PL clubs?

20 billion?

Doesn't technically need half the club as per German model. You could have fans with voting rights on the board.

I suspect an independent regulator with teeth would suffice. Clubs like to think they can do what they like, the supermarkets were the same a few years ago but you just need the right legislation.

All sorts of legislation has been passed in the past that targets football clubs.

Also almost every pundit in the last 48 hours rattling on about the German model.

Previously silent on the matter, all worshipping at the alter of billionaires making “the EPL the greatest show on earth”.

Joe Lewis won’t hand 50+1 percent of his asset to Spurs supporters trusts.

It is the same reaction as we saw in the Royal Family, shocked by the public reaction to the young prince 'blooded' in the dying blood of a slaughtered animal.

Why?

Because they are out of touch narcissists, feather-bedded by massive piles of money, much of it stolen via the pursuit of unfair advantage..

I don’t recall the Royal Family disbanding the “Firm” after that story.

That is such a bizarre example to use.

That sign behind Neville is unfortunately positioned, although I admire his love for decent, stoned musicians

It's all about the money Harry, they will try again, this " breakaway " league has been mooted several times and the people who run football such as UEFA and FIFA are not averse to trousering some extra cash if available. Besides, the lawyers would be all over any restrictions or bans issued by UEFA and FIFA... eventually, it will happen again.

Well....if so we fight.

No, but they have spent 20 years frantically trying to refresh the brand as a consequence of that and other 'errors of judgement'.

The only reason we haven't thrown them into the sea is becayse they have behaved.

Briny does becon however. The people have all the cards now.

If you keep digging the soil will eventually collapse on you.

Johnson in jumping out in front of a crowd all running in the same direction shocker.
Ask him to run into a TV studio for a grilling on political issues and he is nowhere to be seen.
Let football and the fans sort this car crash out.

I get that you despise Tories/Johnson, but don't you think pressure from the Prime Minister will be quite useful in this situation?

All English clubs to leave according to reports.

It’s completely dead in the water now. Thank god for that.

Let’s not let them off the hook for it though. Please.
