Yes, I was there too, as a 16 yo schoolboy, went up by train with a group of mates. Loads of Albion fans there, something like 8000/9000.

No. 1 all time best match for me.

It seems incredible these days that an FAC 5th round match on a Sunday had no TV cameras. I didnt see the goals for another 23 years until I got GCH's DVD last year. Had forgotten that Case scored the winner within seconds of us kicking off after they equalised.

Yes - there is no television footage of the other game because of a BBC strike at the time. Amateur film footage does exist though.
That's the exact reason why I put the following seasons footage up............................ [Mr B exits quick right]

Ryan played onside by Neal, can he make it this time

And now Connor's through can this be two...... it is..... unbelievable by Brighton & Hove Albion

Ah - that made all the little hairs on my arms stand on end! Great memories...

Amazing we put them out two years running. Imagine Charlton doing that to Man United now, and it would have something like the same impact.

I was there and after we'd won I just knew it was OUR year to win the FA Cup, it wasn't as it turned out but how close did we come

I was also there for the 2-2 escape with John Byrne scoring the late equaliser with heavy strapping on his leg from a recent knee op?

I was there too. But, being a Superfan, i was at all their cup matches that season.

This much asked for game is now available on Google video, the file size is huge (500mb) as its the whole 90 minutes and quality has been compromised a tad. When viewing set the goggle video window to original size. There is no commentary but there is the crowd noise which is incredible especially when the Ryan and Case score.

Enjoy, we need cheering up.
