The arse end of Hangleton
This morning saw Mrs WS and Miss WS off to London to see the Foo Fighters this evening .... leaving me and the mutt to share a takeaway and a few beers in front of the football.
Bet the Foo Fighters are better than that rubbish

A while ago I crashed my car, had the whole front end rebuilt (I'll feel it on my insurance!) got the car back and one of the arms on the folding roof shattered, £1500 and a few weeks later I get the car back and a Tesco driver reverses into the back of my car, twice!
Finally picked my car up today, all shiny and new, roof down, sun out, tunes on.
It's been a long headache but that 10 minute drive home I smiled all the way.

David Gilmour's armpit
About 30 years ago, I dropped (one of my only two) contact lenses on a walk from a villa, down a dusty path, at night, to the little Spanish place of Moraira.
On the way back from the bars, having drowned my sorrows that for the rest of my hols, I would be effectively one-eyed, I spotted a greenish-glow.
I stopped purely out of curiosity, and it was a little glowing insect, but it was just enough to illuminate my lost lens, several hours later.
True story, folks. :)

Couldn't be arsed to be social initially, but took a rare opportunity after a departmental day today to try and force socialising with people in my building that i don't directly work with. Have come out feeling like I might have made some more inroads after slow going previously, to finally build some relationships with people working around me. Hoping makes work a bit less isolating sometimes

My phone had randomly stopped charging a few weeks ago and after buying a new cable, vacuuming the charging port, digging around with a bent paper clip and looking up the cost of a new phone, I finally followed YouTube advice and whittled a cocktail stick down to pick out this gunk out of the charging port: Works fine now.

The pub I watched the England match in didn't charge me for my food. I even told the guy it was missing from my bill, but he couldn't find it in the system and let me pay for just the drinks.

I’ve had two phones that have stopped charging. I never managed to dig out the dirt and get them going again .

I’d put this down as big win.

Yesterday I had my first appointment with a psychologist to deal with some mental health issues before they become a big deal.. I wanted to do this for about 7 months and finally got my arse into gear!
I’m a psychologist, and I started working with a new client yesterday. Anonymity is often important, so I suggested they didn’t have to use their real name if that made them feel more comfortable. My ‘little win’ was when they agreed, and instead asked me to call them by their username on a popular football forum…

Booked two rooms in a hotel two weeks ago so I could not stress out about getting away from the Pearl Jam concert. Booking got cancelled by the hotel so booking.com refunded me and sorted a new place to stay. Its closer and cheaper plus bookings.com will give me a discount too. Gone from £200 for the night to £24 for an entire apartment for the night. That's the beer money sorted.
