actually Mr Ringleader if you are who I think you are, perhaps you should get behind the team instead of spending your time abusing a very good referee. And whilst you are at it, look up the Rules of the Game of association Football as if yesterday is anything to go by you, you haven't a clue!!!

and yes I was he bloke sat in front of you wondering what the hell you were on about ( and BTW The use of the F word in every sentance is not big or clever)

High up on the South Downs.
Lets make music.
I have an old trombone.
Is there anything in the ground regulations about bringing musical instruments in?
A BHA swing band would make a serious difference.

Too far from the sun
I've just moved to Cyprus (Limassol), if you want atmosphere, come over here and go to a game. I've started watching AEL, who are currently top of the league here, the football is nothing to write home about but the atmosphere is amazing!

Went to a game there a few years ago. Not that many in the ground but they made a hell of a lot of noise with flares and firecrasckers going off at kick-off. Unfortunately they went 2-0 down 10 mins into the second half and most of them left. A few came back in when they came back to 2-1 down but they (and more) left again 5 minutes later when they had a player sent off. Also, once the 2nd goal went in the home fans ripped out the seats and chucked them at the dugouts. My Cypriot friend told me that this is common there. He told me of one game where they were 3-0 down after about 20 minutes and half the crowd left. AEL then pulled 2 goals back before half time leading to queues trying to get back in for the second half.

Is it still like that?

Gate 3, Limassol, Cyprus
Dunno, I've only been to a couple of games so far, the big one is in a fortnight's time, the derby match against Apollon.

This Sunday I saw them beat APEP 2-0, there were only a handful of away fans, but the home end was packed. No flares, but the drum band and singing lasted not only the full 90 minutes, but started nearly half an hour brfore the match and carried on right through half time, the noise was amazing. We sat in the top tier, directly above all the Gate 3 nutters in the tier below. There were actually two blokes with a megaphone directing the singing and drumming. The drumming was spot on and the singing was in time. Very impressive. Whenever the ref made a bad decision, the entire section was pointing and singing a chant which my Cypriot friend assured me was their version of "that decision seemed a little wrong in my opinion, did one leave his spectacles behind this morning, you wanker" or words to that effect. I was also told one chant translated roughly as "I'll only go to prison for AEL". Most of them were full songs rather than chants though. The fans are passionate.
