Seriously, its not that easy to sing, i mean, you need to KNOW what to sing, and you have to... shock of all shocks and horrors of all horrors, be positive

If you don't have the whole block singing, the row in front of you look at you with an expression on their faces that screams "SHUT UP! I'M TRYING TO READ HERE!". Or even "SHUT UP! I'M RESPECTING THE DEAD HERE". Congrats to the nutter sitting in C/D who stood up screaming his head off with two mates, dispite the angered looks. I bow down to thee

At the end of the day, people pay way too much to watch football at Withdean, if they choose not to sing then that's up to them, something to sing about may actually help though.

The players aren't the ones that have to pay £25 to watch the fans perform though are they.

No, no there not BUT a lot of our fans think cos they pay they have the right to have a go at players as "they pay to watch this shit" well why dont they do something about it and create at least a bit of atmosphere instead of talking a load of shit about how the game is a waste of there money.

There was a little H Block/G Block thing going on yesterday ('We're the left/right side Brighton boys' etc.) that seemed to catch on. That raised the atmosphere a bit. Not a lot, mind.

But if players aren't performing then a bit of criticism is surely warranted, it's not just at Brighton, it happens everywhere, look at the shit Agbonlahor took at Villa during his lean spell last year, what did he do?... He got his head down and made himself a better player rather than sulked about the fans booing him.

Yes it is. But if the team is low on confidence surely a bit of atmoshpere from more than one block is called for.

NO NO NO

Your looking at this all wrong! If our players are playing shit we have to get on their backs and boo them so they play worse, its the only thing to do!

Actually, I think that was mostly block H. The stairs run up halfway through the blocks, not between them. The left side/right side was either side of the stairs that split block H.

Made me laugh as both the left side and the right side were quite far on the left of the south stand. "We're the left left side"/"We're the right left side" would have been more accurate.

I dont get this singing motivates players thing, surely being Pros they should already be motivated? the atmosphere at old trafford and Highbury is nowhere as good as Stoke.

Agree with that. Motivation should be the captains and managements job. If they don't come out with all cylinders firing then there have to be problems behind the scenes. I'm not saying don't sing but the players shouldn't need the crowd singing to get them to perform. Just seeing people that have worked hard and paid over the odds to help keep the club afloat should be enough. Sadly the general crap that we have to watch usually snuffs out any enthusiasm we can muster. :-(

I think everyone who sings should be given a conductoors stick and put at the bottom of each block facing the crowd to get everybody going
