A player who hasn't played a first team game since May, three days after arriving at a club, cannot be compared to someone who through an incredible injury scenario has played week in week out....

Err, YOU are the one comparing them, by stating that LL would have scored '2 out of 4 of Barnes' chances'. How unlucky are we, eh, that the 4 chances LL wanted fell to someone else, and the 4 he couldn't take, fell to him? Damn.

Not about being 'loyal'. Just adding balance to your comment. You said that we'd have done better with Lita on earlier, to 'convert Barnes' chances'. Lita missed just as many, including a very, very good chance from a one on one, after Buckley put him through.

Wait? We had a good chance yesterday? You'd think from most of the posts on here we'd barely had a touch.

We had SIX very presentable chances.

Two for Barnes in the first ten minutes - a first timer over the bar that he ought to have done better with, and a decent header, saved by the keeper.
A back post header by Bruno
A one on one for Buckley, that he dinked over the keeper into the side netting.
One for Lita with his back to goal, which I think was cleared off the line.
A one on one for Lita that he smashed over the bar.

Four to Barnes.......one header straight at the keeper, you could have saved it....and three in row Z...

Ha....loyal to the bitter end......admirable, but he is demonstrating week in week out that he isn't a striker, something that you AB supporters always said he never got a chance as under Gus....here is his chance, and he has blown it.
He isn't the best lone striker. He is brilliant when played with someone else up front though.

Yesterday, I though Barnes and Conway were our best two players. Barnes forced their keeper into a very good save early on from a header. He just isn't the sort of player that likes to play up front on his own. He likes to have more support.

Whilst we're all bickering about Lita and Barnes' chances that they supposedly 'would've put away, we should really be looking to play them both together next game. Every other game where we've tried to play 2 wingers or 3 in midfield hasn't worked so nothing to lose by trying those 2 up top. Don't think any of it's either of their fault. We're simply not good enough in the final 3rd. Didn't go yesterday but I've barely seen Barnes have a sight of goal the last few games the supply has been so poor. Decent effort with the header but its a hard technique, no one would be moaning at all if Ulloa had done the same.

Haven't seen any of Lita's chances as none on FLS, sounded like he shouldve scored on the radio and instead blasted it over.. Surprised he took Barnes off for Lita, can't see what harm it would've done playing them together. Think that should be the attack against Watford, with Barker or Dickenson on the bench.
