The Lions backroom team all celebrating... excrpt fot Gatland, who looked like he wanted to eat somebody. Looks like he wants to give them a shredding in the dressing room.

That last scrum, Jesus. Get hold of it and grind it out.

I think the Lions just about deserved that, but Beales must feel suicidal.

I've never seen a 0-0 in a Rugby match

I have played in one.......in hurricane force weather in Midsomer Norton.....we all cheered when the final whistle went, we were blue from the cold.

We didn't play well, but squeeked the result......nice.

The ref however, was a disaster, his interpretation of the breakdown laws was beyond anything we understand...thank god we won't have him again.

Great game, I thought the lions would run away with it when they went 8 up. Usual Southern Hemisphere interpretation of the breakdown, but the ref was certainly consistent so the Lions will just have to get used to that. The only complaint thy could have was the lack of advantage given when the Aussies got the penalty for their 1st try. That ultimately made a 10 point difference to the score.

I don't think it was a lucky win. The fact that Halfpenny is a much better kicker than the 2 Aussie kickers is not luck; he's just more talented and probably practises harder.

That was far too close for comfort but the Aussie injury least is a car crash for them at present.

Agreed, but if the commentary team knew about his reputation of interpretation, why were the Lions not better prepared for it?

Also concerned about how poorly the scrum performed once the front row was changed and why we persisted in kicking the ball away when they were superb under the high ball. I am pleased with the result but we were very lucky. A better kicker would have made that an Aussie win.

What odds would you have got when they had their first kick to win the match with less than 5 minutes to go and then again with 1 minute left. Both incredible misses which you wouldn't expect to have been made.

The first penalty miss by Beale was the real shocker. The last minute longer-range miss will get the headlines, but slips like that happen under extreme pressure. Beckham springs to mind.

Good win for us. Hopefully we can finish the job in Melbourne next weekend. Was mighty impressed by Halfpenny and North.

Mixed bag really - pleased and relieved that the Lions won. The Wallabies were unlucky with the number of injuries they sustained but their goal kicking was awful and in the end this cost them the game.

The Lions I felt should have wrapped up the game when they were 20-12 up, but silly errors let Australia back in the game - one in particular was a scrum 5 metres from the Aussie line, with our feed, and ended in losing control of the ball and the Wallabies breaking out to the Lions 22.

I thought the ref was crap and am glad he's not involved in the next two tests.

Overall I thought the Lions played ok, cut out needless errors, replace Mike Phillips with Ben Youngs as starting scrum half and hopefully, bring in Jamie Roberts (if fit ) at centre.

The Wallabies I felt should have been dominated more up front, but their backs are lethal with ball in hand. The second test should be a cracker.

Bowe and Tuilagi will apparently be available

Of the starting XV I thought they all did well apart from Phillips. The ball came out too slow, there was no sniping or urgency.

I really enjoyed the match, and the Lions' win, but the performance didnt inspire full confidence. I've just taken 11/2 on Australia to take the series 2-1.
