Worthing
I thought the one good thing to come out of yesterdays match is that a draw is no longer enough so we have got to go for the win. I really can't see how we up the tempo for the last 10 mins against a side that has only let in 7 goals at home all season. A draw is a victory for boro. I can see little alternative to going for it all guns blazing!

Don't agree at all.

Boro seem to be able to defend quite well, but struggle a little offensively, needing a draw would have been ideal.

I wouldn't start with knockart as he is more of a luxury player and doesn't track back and I'd go with skalak and Murphy on the wings

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
It will be very interesting to see how CH plays this...

Wilson for Baldock maybe... Wilson is far more likely to grab us a goal or 2
Murphy for Skalak...
Or even add Sidwell into the starting 11 and go for 4-5-1.

Problem is we can't afford to go a goal down, can we try and keep it tight for an hour and then go for it... or do we go for it from the off...

I think we need to make a couple of changes... Sidwell for a very pedestrian Stevens... and Murphy to get at them with a bit of pace and hopefully trickery.... Greer on obviously, Uwe on the bench if fit.....

Cannot believe posters would drop Knockaert? Our most creative, potent and dangerous player and we MUST win?

Are you saying Sidwell is more mobile than Stephens? I can understand the need to play Sidwell as well as to increase our defensive ability's. but not instead of Stephens.

I am a little surprised nobody has suggested bringing back Bong and playing Liam Rosenior in midfield in a Bridcutt holding type role.

Hardly a game to be experimenting with players in different positions..... and yes, Sidwell will offer more than Stevens did yesterday.

Are you? Play Rosenior who has been arguably our best player since returning from injury, replace him with Bong - who has not played 90 minutes since October - and to top it off, play LR in a totally unknown role in our most important game of the season. Are you really that surprised?

An unchanged side except for the enforced change of Greer for Dunk.

I would not want to see anymore changes that. Continuity is key.

Given the importance of set pieces there is no way we are leaving Skalek out, although we will probably replace him with Murphy if we have something to defend.

Wilson for Baldock is a possibility, but I think Baldock is more useful at the beginning of games and Wilson more effective at the end.

Stockdale up front - he looked good in the air from that last corner.

Rosenior in the Bridcutt role - as BensGrandad is rarely wrong.

Drop Sidwell in at centre half - about time he learned a new position.

Greer in goal.

Other than that I'd keep everyone else the same.

What?

You forgot perseus' favourite change - LuaLua as a striker.

Hughton will want to start with Knockaert for his individual brilliance and Skalak for his dead ball crossing ability.

Greer will come in for Dunk so the only question remains Baldock or Wilson? Hemed and Baldock looked impotent against Derby, the danger is the same thing will happen again.

Boro have the meanest defence in the division while Baldock has only 8 goals in over 50 appearances for the Albion. Wilson has outscored him 5 goals to 4 this season despite making only 11 starts.

When we secured Wilson the reaction on NSC was that here was the man who could really make the difference and be the goalscorer we needed. So here we are in the big match - it's win or bust - and Wilson scored vs Derby in his last start.

For all of the above reasons I'd go with Wilson to start.

Same applies to you. Drop Stephens? Wow.

Stephens has been the Albion's outstanding player in at least half of the recent games - most especially the away ones. The guy is in the form of his life. The amount of ball he wins is ridiculous.

There is certainly a case to be made for playing Sidwell WITH Stephens and Kayal in a three. Play Sidwell as one of just two, against Boro's three, and we may as well not turn up.
