Lighting for film - any experts?

Remember that you can do a lot with the lighting in the edit. Using Premiere Pro or the like you can get some great results.

I have a friend who knows where to (*ahem*) get a copy.

Depends what you want to achieve, I'd generally go for a standard 3 point set up.

Done quite alot of film lighting if ya need any advice, on my way out now.. PM me and I'll get back.

First off throw in your key, about 45o about camera/eye level. Then add your fill, not to strong, just enough to take away the shadows that the key will cast. Then back light it, just to pick whatever your filming off the background, thats the basic jist to a 3 point set up.

Get a couple of red heads in, can't beat em!
